The Joys And Benefits Of Serving

On serving, and what God notices. Jesus called Himself the vine and said a branch bearing no fruit is cut away, while one that does bear fruit gets pruned so it bears more — so God is interested in fruit, and pruning is a sign of favour rather than punishment. None of this is about earning salvation; it’s about what you did with the life you were given. The passage that anchors it is Malachi, where God tells people He heard the harsh things they said about Him when they thought nobody was listening — and then, in the same chapter, that when those who feared Him talked together about His name, He listened and a book of remembrance was written. He hears both conversations.
