Victory Week: Morning 1

Two things a Christian is meant to be. First, a bringer — the kingdom of heaven is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, so wherever you go you carry those in and the opposites out. Refuse anxiety rather than negotiating with it. Second, a destroyer: the Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil, and sickness, depression and fear are on that list. The power to do it is more available than most of us act like it is. There’s a word here for anyone held back by insecurity — it isn’t humility, it’s a hindrance, and it’s worth putting down. Israel watched Goliath taunt them for forty days. One person decided that was enough.
