Victory Week: Morning 3

The power of bold prayers, starting with Cornelius in Acts 10 — a Roman officer who wasn’t a believer yet, who prayed regularly and gave generously, and whose prayers reached God so plainly that an angel was sent to tell him so. “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering.” The point is simple and worth sitting with: your praying and your giving are not disappearing into the air. They get God’s attention. And it doesn’t stop with you — Cornelius’s prayers set off a chain that reached Peter on a rooftop and opened the gospel to people who had been outside it. Bold prayer moves more than your own circumstances.
