Victory Week: Morning 6

Abraham on the mountain with Isaac is the picture: God asked for the very best thing he had, and he went anyway. Three days of walking, every step a chance to turn back, and he didn’t — because he believed God would provide. That’s the faith the Bible calls credited as righteousness, and it’s the faith this message calls us to. The second half turns to Luke 5, where the power of the Lord was present to heal — and only one man received it, the one whose friends tore open a roof to get him there. The religious men in the room felt nothing. God’s power was present for all of them; faith is what drew it.
