Victory Week: Night 3

What faith can do — worked straight through Hebrews 11. Faith is the reality of what’s hoped for and the proof of what isn’t seen, which means there are things that are real before you can see them, and believing those is the whole job. Faith always shows up as an action: the woman with the issue of blood believed, and then she pushed through a crowd. Moses believed, and then he lifted the staff over an ocean with an army behind him. Without faith it’s impossible to please God — and the flip side is stated plainly here, that God’s greatest joy is to be believed and His greatest insult is not to be. He gave you His Son already. Whatever else you’re asking for is smaller than that.
