Victory Week: Night 4

What kind of Father God actually is. Most of us quietly expect God to treat us the way our own father did, and this message pulls that apart. If a child asks for bread, no decent parent hands over a stone — how much more, Jesus says, will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask. Every good and perfect gift comes down from Him, and He doesn’t change His mind about you. The harder half is honest about grief: the things people say when something terrible happens — that God needed another angel, that He took someone for a reason — aren’t true. The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy. Jesus came so you could have a rich and satisfying life.
