Victory Week: Night 7

On the anointing, and why it isn’t just excitement. Luke 4 is the text: the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me. The anointing accomplishes things. Boldness to speak, freedom for people who are bound, sight for the blind. There’s honesty here about why some people don’t expect God to move. They’ve only ever seen dead religion, so a room full of response looks like emotion to them. Acts 10 is the picture, the Holy Spirit interrupting Peter mid-sermon. God isn’t waiting to be persuaded. He wants to meet with you more than you want to meet with Him.
